    Have you ever had a battery die on you? A dead battery is one that doesn’t have enough power to turn on your car’s electronics or start the engine.

    Imagine you and your friends are camping in the woods and you decide to have a party. When you get to the campsite, you turn on the car’s headlights and play loud music all night. Most of the time, the battery will run out of power.

    I promise you, if that was the only car you had, it would get very scary and confusing very quickly. First of all, do you even know what to do when the battery dies? When was the last time you opened the hood? Well, don’t worry, because we’ll tell you what to do if you ever find yourself in that situation.

    First, make sure you have a set of jumper cables. These are very important. Don’t leave them behind. If you forget them, you’re dead in the water if your battery dies.

    The next step is to find a car with a battery that has the same voltage as your car. They have to be able to get to your location by car. Then put their hoods so close together that it looks like they’re about to kiss. Good luck finding that kind-hearted person!

    The next step is to make sure that both cars are parked properly. You don’t want them to touch each other. Be careful, because that dent could cost you a few bucks. Once you’re sure that both cars are in the right gear, it’s time to turn on the battery.

    Carefully connect your car’s positive to the other car’s positive, and do the same with the neutral. Make sure the engine is running in the car that is giving you a jump start. Remember that you are working with electricity, not a box of jump ropes. You must be very careful.

    Now start your car and wait for the magic to happen. VOILA! Your car is now moving.
